Acoustic artist and singer/songwriter Jason Schaefer is an Appleton WI native that has been performing professionally in the region for over 20 years.
Jason started out in the early 2000s singer/guitarist/songwriter of the regional trio Tate Rooper, which has opened for many national artists including Rusted Root, Panic at the Disco, and Barenaked Ladies (to name a few).
In 2017 he began to focus on writing acoustic music. In 2020 he recorded his first solo EP album Feels like Home with the colaboration of guitarist Max Kresch and vocalist Dee Verkuilen. In 2021 he recorded another follow-up EP For the Ghost and in 2022, with the help of 8 of the areas best musicians (and friends), he recorded a full length 3rd album Something Better at Rock Garden Studio which has gained regular airplay on 91.1 The Avenue and 105.7 WAPL.
